Our next block STEP UP photography course at Photofusion will run for 6 weeks, Mondays & Tuesdays 10:30am - 2:30pm. Starting Monday 7th October 2024, at Photofusion, Unit 2, 2 Beehive Place, Brixton, SW9 7QR.
Since 2019, Photofusion and our partners 198 Contemporary Arts & Learning have delivered fully funded courses in Photography, Art and Design, Filmmaking and LGBTQ+ Photography through Lambeth Adult Learning (LAL).
Every academic year we deliver 3 blocks of courses. Our unaccredited courses are designed for Lambeth residents who are 19+, unemployed, low-waged or retired and outside of formal education or apprentice schemes, with funding from the Greater London Authority (GLA) and quality-assured by Lambeth Council’s Adult Learning Service.
The courses allow learners to take part in practical workshops and mentoring to develop new skills whilst networking with peers and invited industry professionals. Photofusion’s STEP UP Photography courses offer an introduction to studio lighting; flash and continuous, DSLR and analogue cameras and darkroom printing.
In 2023 and 2024 we showcased our LAL current learners and alumni in an exhibition to celebrate the wonderful work produced during and after the course.
