SUMMER SCHOOL

Our Summer School programme is grant funded for children eligible for benefits-related free school meals. We run the programme every summer in collaboration with our partners 198 Contemporary Arts & Learning and host a variety of workshops.

Together we deliver a four week programme, with each week categorised by age group. Please note, children are eligible to attend only one week.

This year our summer school ran from Monday 29 July to Thursday 22 August 2024.

The programme is aimed at helping local families with children and young people aged 8 to 16.

Across the week, children have access to:

  • free healthy lunches

  • 45 minutes of exercise per day

  • artistic workshops including photography, cyanotypes, zine making, vinyl t-shirt printing and clay

Children are encouraged to develop their sense of artistic style and expression in a safe and inclusive environment.

Sessions are designed for children of all skill levels; our focus over the week is always to prioritise and nurture your child’s sense of exploration and play in a community of their peers.

Our activities and services are intended to be inclusive to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
