Photofusion’s Annual Members’ Show

Installation shot from SALON/24

The Photofusion Annual Members’ Photography Show has been running for 10 very successful years. Beginning as small group shows of 10-15 artists, the annual exhibitions have broadened in scope and adapted in format to meet the high level of popularity.

The Photofusion SALON reflects the diversity of work being made by Photofusion Members, encompassing all genres from the traditional to the avant garde.

This has seen participating photographers progress to be featured in numerous worldwide press, win prestigious photography awards including the Glover-Rayner Prize, Lens Culture Award, Lucie Awards, as well as Arts Council funding, and have gone on to exhibit the work in both group and solo exhibitions around the country.

The Glover-Rayner Prize was established during Photofusion’s 30th anniversary year by founder member Gina Glover and the long-time chair of the board, Dr Geof Rayner. The prize recognises photographic work that raises questions about our fragile environment and the pressing issues of climate change, sustainability, biodiversity and more. Photography may be both art and science, but it is certainly a critical feature of consumer culture, hence part of the problem.
