The introduction to digital camera course is designed for photographers who have recently bought, inherited, or upgraded to a DSLR or Mirrorless camera. This course will guide you on how to operate your camera to unlock its potential for capturing exceptional photographs.
Within the practical session, you will have the opportunity to ask about the intricacies of your camera and leave with the confidence to continue to capture beautiful photographs. You will learn professional image-making techniques to maximize your camera's capabilities and gain a rich understanding of its essential settings.
We will cover:
Exposure - understanding ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and the light meter.
Digital files - the difference between JPEG and RAW images
Composition - some basic compositional rules and how to break them
Depth of field and focus - master focusing to create sharp images and capture moving objects without blur
This course is limited to a maximum of 10 people.
The course is led by D. Wiafe, an artist, educator, and the Course Leader of BA (Hons) Commercial Photography at The London College of Communication.
